Stylish 100 Days of School T-Shirt 2

Ryker has officially been in Kindergarten for 100 days!

To celebrate this, we were asked to decorate a t-shirt with 100 things.  After going on pintrest and seeing the same shirts over and over (100 buttons, 100 eyeballs, 100 stickers) we decided to take matters into our own hands and make this skull/darth vader shirt!  Who wants to look like every other kid at school?

Here’s how!

You will need:

  1. A black t-shirt.  Here are two options from target, one long sleeve and one short.  Choose depending on the weather in your area.
  2. 100 tiny iron on skulls.  If you have time, you can order these from Etsy.com.  I was on a time crunch and found these        same ones at JoAnn’s.
  3.  An iron along with something hard and heat resistant to lay the shirt on…like a wood cutting board.
  4.  A thin kitchen towel or cloth napkin.

Directions:

Place the cutting board between the layer of the shirt so the glue doesn’t accidentally go through and stick them together.

Next, make your design.  I created this Darth Vader design just by moving the skulls around until it looked right.  You can do the same…chances are you will probably do better than I did.  Good for you!

Lastly, place the cloth over the design and iron for about 60 seconds.  You will have to move the iron a few times to make sure you cover the whole design.

NOTE:  Be careful!  The skulls will be HOT when you take the iron off!

Once every skull is stuck down, you are done!

Congrats!  You’ve just created an amazing 100 day shirt!

I just discovered your blog and instagram and I am now a big fan. I am also the mom of 2 boys (7 and 4) and do my best to dress them fashionably. I am curious about your sons’ shoes. How many pairs do you usually buy during a season?

Hi Sarah! Depending on the season, I like to make sure the boys have at least one pair of: high tops, boots, boat shoes, and flip flops.:)
