NO MAKEUP FOR ME

This post is sponsored by Olay, but all opinions are my own.

I want to start by saying that I purposely did not alter or photoshop this picture in any way. I think it’s important for people to show real pictures of themselves when talking about skin care.  This is me.  No makeup.  PJs on.  Hair a mess.   I’ll add an even closer up pic at the bottom of this post so you can get a good look.  🙂

For those of you that don’t know….I’m 36.  Yep!  I’m not one of those people who is still trying to pretend she is in her 20’s.  I would rather people think that I look good for my age (I hope they do) than think “damn…she looks OLD”.  It wasn’t until I turned 35 that I started an actual skin routine.  It was like I woke up one day and looked so much older.  Ugh!  From that day on, I became obsessed with keeping my skin clean and moisturized.  I have somewhat dry skin which is not good for those fine lines.  Winter is not my friend!  The heater dries out my skin even more.  So, I decided to give Olay Regenerist Whips a try.

I remember using Olay when I would borrow it from my mom as a teenager, because my skin would get so dry during the summer.  It was great, but the main thing that comes to mind when I reflect on it is that it was super thick and sticky.  I used to think, “geez, these old ladies really have to slather it on thick”.  Welp, I get it now.  It’s all about the moisture!

Olay Whips has the same ability to moisturize without the thick and sticky feel.  It even smells the same as I remember, which really brings back memories.  Mostly memories of my teenage self in a bikini with a flat stomach, great tan and boobs that had not been ravaged by three tiny humans.  Wait..where was I?  Oh yes, Olay Regenerist Whips.  Love it!  I now use it as part of my skincare routine at night after I wash and tone my face.  It soaks right into my skin and feels amazing.  I am willing to spend a lot of money on my skin care products, because I think great skin is so important.  But, one of my favorite parts about Olay is that it is affordable and I can get it almost anywhere.  I don’t have to special order it, and then cringe when the credit card bill shows up.

As promised, here is the closer up picture.  You just couldn’t help yourself, could you?  You had to see the close up picture.  I get it…I would have done the same thing.  So, here you go!

Anyway, give Olay Regenerist Whips a try.  I promise you’ll like it!
