NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

I received compensation from Dr. Scholl’s® to write this post. All opinions are entirely my own.

It’s New York Fashion Week!  Guess which shows I’m seeing this year?

If you guessed none, you’d be right. Wyatt is only 4 months old and my other two boys are back in school, which means no Fashion Week for mommy.  But, just because I won’t actually be there doesn’t mean I can’t dress like I am!  This week I am going to challenge myself to push the “workout clothes” or as I like to call it, my stay-at-home mom uniform, to the side and make an effort to dress up all week as a sort of training for next year. Yes friends, that means I’m actually going to wear cute flats or heels while going about my daily life and not just for meetings or events.  The thought of it is slightly terrifying.  I can just see myself now, sitting in my car outside of the grocery store, feet throbbing and me completely regretting this entire thing.  In hopes of avoiding this sad scene, last week I tried out two types of Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™  insoles to see if they actually help.

Trial outfit #1: It’s still pretty hot here in California, so for this look I decided to go with a pair of stylish flats, a light weight top and cut off denim shorts.  Normally, my feet are killing me by the end of the day, even in flats!  Carrying around this 18 lb. bundle of love while going about daily life is no joke.

For these shoes, I used the Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™ Clear Cushioning Insoles for Flats.  I picked these up at possibly one of my favorite places on earth…Target!!!  You can find them in the foot care aisle near the pharmacy.  Quick side note:  I went to Target specifically to buy these.  An hour later, with my cart full of things I didn’t even know I “needed”, I headed for checkout and almost forgot to get the one thing I actually went in for.  How many of you have done this?  I hate to admit, I do it ALL the time.

Ok, back to my shoes.  My first thought was, that they feel really squishy… in a good way!  After walking around in these for hours, I’m happy to report that they did make my shoes feel much more comfortable and all-day wearable.

Trial outfit #2:  The real test…heels!  Have you ever seen a woman wearing heels at an amusement park, major sporting event or anywhere else that involves a massive amount of walking?  Well, I have and it boggles my mind.  Who the? Why the? How the?  What kind of super power does this lady have?  Feet made of metal?  I don’t have this kind of power!   I do however, love a good heel but usually don’t wear them while running errands. With my new insoles though, I decided to give it a try.

Here are the Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™ Ball of Foot cushions for High Heels.  These little beauties fit nicely in my shoes and really made each step feel lighter and again… much more comfortable!  A normal day in heels leaves the balls of my feet feeling raw and achy.  These definitely eased that feeling and allowed me to move comfortably while looking great. 😉

All in all, I have to say that Dr. Scholl’s Stylish Step™  insoles were worth it.  They help provide all-day comfort so you can wear the shoes you want for longer.

Right now, there’s a Cartwheel offer for Stylish Step™, you can find them online here or you can meet me at Target and we can shop for everything we “need” together…including these! 😉
